Lynn is off to Rhode Island the first weekend in November to attend the New England Pet Grooming Professionals Fall Festival. Lynn is on the board of directors for the NEPGP so she will be working behind the scenes and at the basket raffle booth. Lynn will also be spending time with Huber Pineda and Lisa Leady from last season's Groomer Has It TV show.

This month:
Lynn and Tracy are off to the dinner/auction put on by the Second Chance Animal Shelter. It's a great cause, and we always come home wiith wonderful new things to decorate the kennel. If you'd like tickets contact www.secondchance animalshelter.com

Lynn and Danielle will be traveling to Las Vegas to attend the annual convention of the Pet Care Services Association. (formally the American Boarding Kennel Association). They will be learning how to make your pets kennel experience even better!

Community Reading Day

Lynn will be heading out to the Oxford Middle school next month for Community Reading Day. On May 2, 2008 Lynn will be reading to one class at the Oxford Middle School and discussing what we do here at Precious Furs. She was honored to be asked by the school to be a part of this exciting day for the students. She is looking forward to meeting with the children in the community. As everyone knows we are a family business and are really excited to be a part of this community outreach project.

Help Wanted

We are currently looking to hire 1 part-time Kennel worker. 3 weekdays 7am-12noon and Saturdays and Sundays 7am-5pm. If you are interested, please come down and fill out an application by 5pm Sunday 4/20/2008.

Woodstock Fair

We are off and running again, this year to the 147th annual Woodstock Fair in Woodstock, Ct. Last year the fair welcomed over 220,00 people from all over dispite the less than perfect weather. This year looks to be shaping up to be even better. With musical acts such as JoDee Messina, Lonestar, and Smashmouth, they are sure to draw a crowd on that alone! Best of all...WE WILL BE THERE! Lynn will be grooming stuffed demo dogs, we will be having amazing sale prices on all of our regual retail items as well as bringing in some great new items. We are so excited to be a part of something this big and hope to see you all there. Oh, and of course there will be FREEBIES!

For those of you who have never been to the Woodstock fair, here is a quick rundown of the weekend... Tractor pulls, go-cart racing, food, live concerts (free with fair admission), food, sheep, cows, food, crafts, pigs, baby chicks, food, carnival midway, vendors, Precious Furs Pet Resort :), and did I mention the FOOD!
