Second Chance Animal Shelter Auction

The Pet Resort will be closing at 4:00 pm on Saturday, March 15, 2008 so that Lynn, Tracy, and Danielle may attend the Second Chance Animal Shelters annual dinner auction. We have also donated a number of wonderful items to their auction including: a weeks cat boarding in one of our new suites, a weeks dog boarding, and even a full grooming including SPA treatment, as well as toys, and all natural treats. Welcome "Bonnie and Clyde"

We would like to welcome the newest members of the Precious Furs family, "Bonnie and Clyde". These little cuties came to the family on February 14, 2008 and have just nuzzled their way into our hearts. These two have become amazing live entertainment not only for the staff here but also for the cats they share a room with (most of which have never seen a ferret before).

With the addition of the ferrets, we would like to answer one very popular question...YES we board exotic pets! To date we have boarded: ferrets, bunnies, parrots, and even a gecko (and his little cricket friends). The staff here has extensive knowledge of many exotic pets and we love to see all the different animals our extended family has at home.

Lynn is also more than happy to groom your exotic pet. Ferrets and bunnies can greatly benefit from regular baths, brush outs and nail trims.

New for 2008

Well there is never a dull moment here at Precious Furs. Everyday we are asked a barage of questions from our clients from how often to get their pets nails clipped to what the best food is for their particular pets skin and coat. For this reason we are introducing "Pet Care Q & A". E-mail us any and all of your pet related questions and we will post the questions and responses on our "PFPR Pet Care Q & A" blog! Lynn and all of our staff, have accumulated a wealth of information in our pet care careers and would love to share it with all of you. And, if we can't answer your question, we will try to pass you along to someone who is better qualified to do so. So start those questions coming. We want to hear from you!

Well the new year is upon us and we have even more exciting things in store for 2008! We will again be taking the winter to do some upgrades to our boarding areas including new heating units (which are already in. Thank you LaChance Heating and Air Conditioning), a new coat of paint in the cold kennel, new doors for all the runs, new privacy fences for the cold kennel and much more!
Also our retail is expanding again! On top of our already fantastic selection of all natural foods and treats we are bringing in a larger selection of cat items, dog toys and even pet fashion accesories!

Precious Furs Pet Resort is proud to be the offical sponsor of the Auburn Mall "Pet Pictures with Santa". We would like to invite you all to head down to the Auburn Mall on December 3rd and 10th from 7:30pm-9:30pm. We will all be there putting on FREE handmade bows and bandanas for all the pets being photographed. This event is not limited to just cats and dogs, so let's see those ferrets, bunnies and birds too! We will also be handing out treat samples and much more! So be sure to drop by our tables right next to Santa's Workshop on December 3rd and 10th. We'll see you there!!

Happy to Be Home!

Lynn, Tracy, and Katie are back from the New England Pet Grooming Professionals Contest, Trade Show and Seminars in Warwick , RI with a wealth of new information!
Lynn's singing of our National Anthem was beautiful and her Cat Grooming seminar was a huge success with over 55 people in attendance.
Katie was able to sit in on a number of seminars including Scissoring, Bichons, Handstripping, and Client Relations. She also took a lot away from just sitting ringside and watching the pros at work. We are very excited to announce that Katie is planning to compete at NEPGP show next fall. She is already working diligently to find a dog or two to compete with and hone her skills with those breeds.
Tracy spent most of her time working the raffle booth for the NEPGP, though she was able to sneak off to the client relation seminar with Katie.
All in all they had a wonderful weekend, however they are all happy to back here with they're four legged extended family!
